Throughout it's tenure at the Greek Theatre, Nederlander has been proud to serve the community of Los Angeles - by providing high quality entertainment and customer service.

Nederlander has developed a capital improvement proposal that reflects our commitment to improving the entertainment experience at the Greek Theatre while recognizing the need to protect the quality of life in the surrounding neighborhood.

Every aspect of the entertainment experience at the Greek Theatre, from the diversity of programming, convenience of ticket sales, traffic and parking, food and beverage service, pre-show and intermission activities, to the quality of the sound system, has been thoroughly evaluated, planned, and developed with the interest of our customers and neighbors in mind.

THE NEDERLANDER PROPOSAL OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS, INCLUDING:

  • $1.6 million to improve traffic and parking
  • An enclosed stage house and other acoustic improvements that protect the neighborhood fro concert sound
  • Internships for local students
  • An increase in the number of regular edition of the Greek Theatre Newsletter
  • The added convenience of a MetroRail Shuttle to reduce concert traffic
  • A Full-time Community Liaison
  • The addition of concession areas and 27 new points of sale to reduce waiting times in line
  • The highest quality sound systems in the world
  • Increased staffing of LAPD and the Yellowjacket Neighborhood Security Patrols
  • Continued support of local charitable organizations
  • Expanded cultural programming opportunities
  • Continued support of and participation in the local youth programs
  • Additional solar powered traffic message signs, house announcements and cards to exiting patrons urging them to "Keep The Noise Down"
  • Attendance at local community meeting by Greek Theatre management

Paramount to the success of Nederlander's operations and capital improvements are the attitudes and efforts of the staff who implement them.

Nederlander manages an in-house staff of ushers, security and parking attendants, rather than contract out the positions to outside vendors to ensure that high standards of customer service and courtesy are maintained.

NEDERLANDER'S MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY:

Hire the best and brightest people, train them well, treat them with respect, and reward them with ample compensation and high praise for a job well done.

Nederlander staff and management look forward to providing the highest standards of courtesy and customer service at the Greek Theatre well into the new millennium.
